John Leveille
President
Rescue Riders

John Leveille has lived in Chicagoland all his life and has loved the thrill of riding motorcycles for as long as he can remember. The make and model that he owned was never as important as being out on the road. For the past 10+ years, Johns mechanical and risk management abilities have served the Banking Industry from the U.S. all the way to India, in the role of Customer Support Manager, before joining the Rescue Riders in 2009. Throughout his life, John has always played a leadership role on motorcycle rides and in high stress situations, making him a perfect fit within the Rescue Rider family, whose motto is 'Riding for a Reason'. John is Red Cross Certified in First Aid & Adult C.P.R., certified in Basic & Advanced Accident Scene Management, a member of Patriot Guard Riders, AMA and Abate. After riding for so many years, the training and community involvement Rescue Riders offers is held close to John and his family's heart providing an extension of other community service they have participated in.

Alan Larsen
Vice President

I've lived in the southwestern suburbs of Chicago now for 30 years, and prior to that was a Nebraska Corn husker. I've been riding for about 45 years now, currently on a '97 Harley Road King. You can call me Dane or Alan either one, just don't call me late for dinner. I came across the Rescue Riders and ASMI on the internet a few years ago. As luck would have it, that was right after I saw the after effects of a rider going down hard into the rocks on a canyon road in South Dakota. At least now, I won't ever have to endure that sickening feeling of helplessness again. I am very excited about being named the Activities and Events Director for the Rescue Riders, and I look forward to working closely with all the regional leaders and members.

I've been in the plastics industry for a little over 30 years now, currently working as a plastics engineer for Molex, a global connector manufacturer based in the Chicago Area. Besides motorcycles, my other passion is music. I play just about every brass instrument there is, but I've played trumpet now for 44 years (Only 1 less than bikes!) and I have a small brass instrument sales and repair business out of my house. In addition to Rescue Riders, I also volunteer for another NFP, Bugles Across America. BAA is an all volunteer group of buglers around the world that provide live taps on a real instrument at Veterans Funeral Honors. Our goal is to make sure veterans and their families get the recognition and respect they deserve, and don't have their dignity stolen by using either a recording or the dreaded electronic bugle.

Brenda Enkhaus
Secretary

Hello, everyone. As National Secretary of the Rescue Riders it is my responsibility to keep all these guys focused and on point (good luck!). My background includes over 20 years in direct response marketing (yep, I create some of that junk mail that you love to receive). I'm a breast cancer survivor and my reward to myself for getting thru all the "treatments" was to buy a motorcycle and get a tattoo. I'm the proud owner of "Belle", my '05 HD Softail Deluxe and I've been riding since early 2005. I'm one of the Charter Members of my local HOG chapter. After having served on the Chapter board in multiple roles including LOH Officer, Membership Officer and Secretary - I'm happy to now be a Road Captain. My personal mission is to encourage more women to ride their own scoots. I've known Dean since 2005 just before he started the Rescue Riders and think that this group is a great chance to give back to the motorcycle community. I'm a strong believer in the MSF (Motorcycle Safety Foundation) for teaching riders (both new and experienced) what they need to be safe on the road and ASM (Accident Scene Management) for training riders to safely help out any unfortunate accident scenes that they may come across on the road.

Steve Strickland
Treasurer

I've enjoyed riding motorcycles for 35 years. I belong to the Fox Valley HOG chapter, AMA, Patriot Guard and am past president of the Shadow Riders motorcycle club.
For 35 years, I've worked for National Presto Industries. My family and I are from the Chicago suburbs and have lived in Upstate New York, Pittsburgh, and Eau Claire, Wisconsin. In 1996 I became Senior District Sales Manager in the Midwest, and we moved back to Illinois.
My wife Kathy and I have been married for 40 years and have two grown daughters. Stephanie is married to Brad Hummel and lives nearby in Oswego. Tracy just married in July and resides in Scottsdale, Arizona, with her husband Brandon Allen.
During the war in Viet Nam, I served in the Navy as a patrol boat captain with the In Shore UnderSea Warfare Group 1. I am a member of the Mobile Riverine Forces Association and a Life Member of the VFW.
I wanted to give something back while enjoying my passion for riding. After witnessing two serious motorcycle accidents while on road trips to Laconia and the Grand Canyon, I realized it was time to make the commitment. Taking "Ride for a Reason" to heart, I completed the ASMI basic and advanced courses in 2009, became CPR/AED certified, joined the Rescue Riders, and then became a mission coordinator.
Now I am looking forward to assuming the responsibility as treasurer for 2012-13.
